When your net arrives, you may find the length exceeds what you ordered. That’s because for every metre in length you buy, you’ll actually receive approximately 1.3 linear metres — this extra is due to how the net is folded or rolled.

Initially, the mesh holes will appear as diamond shapes. As you gently stretch the width to the full 2 m, you’ll see those diamonds become squares, and the length will shorten accordingly. When the mesh holes are square, your net is properly stretched.
If you pull the net wider than intended, you’ll lose length; if you stretch the net longer, you’ll lose width.
