When your net arrives, you may observe it’s longer than the amount you ordered. That’s because for each metre of length you order, you typically receive about 1.3 linear metres, due to the way the net is packaged in a “snake” or folded roll.

At first, the mesh holes appear as diamond shapes. As you gently stretch the width toward 8 m, those diamonds will gradually transform into squares, and the overall length will contract. When the mesh holes appear square, your net is properly aligned and stretched.
If you stretch it too wide, you’ll lose length; if you stretch it too long, you’ll lose width.
